This is what I add to my soup for a change 1 box of rice a roni (sp)???
Spanish Rice at it the last 15 mins after soup is amost done lower to
simmer and thats it. Oh you add the rice and the seasoning mix. For
variety add one can of black beans drained and one can of corn drained.
Gives it that Tex-Mex feel. You can also do this with chicken veg soup
    also.

Another thing I do to veg soup is cook veggies (Chop veggies kid of large) in water with onion, celry and chicken bullion paste. When done drain and retain liquid add veggies to blender with some of liquid and blend not to much I like some small bits and pieces. Then return to pot and add half and half makes a great creamy vegatable soup. Any veggie works.

Sorry about my spelling. Not my greatest asset. But I do just about anything else. lol....Must have skipped school, when they taught spelling.
But I was a wiz at math, history and science.

TexasQuilts: Thanks for the soup hits. I plan to try them. if you don't say anything about spelling when you type, nobody will know the difference as they'll think your fingers hit the wrong key or that you are shortening the words for space sake! That's my excuse and I'm stickin with it!

I sometimes have Spanish rice left over...never thought of adding it to my soup but will try it in the future. I bet it would put some zing in my chilli soup recipe too.
