    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    2 tbsp. baking powder
    Dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 stick butter

    1/8 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon

Melt butter in 2-quart (7x11 inch) dish. Cook fruit with juice until boiling. Set aside.
Combine dry ingredients with milk and vanilla. Pour in prepared pan. Add fruit only on top of batter. Don't stir. Sprinkle topping over fruit. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Does this sound like it? (Except when I read it I think the "fruit juice" probably should be just "fruit"!
I think they meant fruit and juice...

This is the same one I make a lot but it is called Lazy Man's Peach Cobbler. I use Cherry Pie Filling because I don't like peaches but you could use any kind of canned fruit or pie filling.
