Marinated steak tips, baked potatoes and broccoli. Tomorrow I will be making ham and bean soup. It is really getting cold here. Tomorrow we are lucky if we hit 20.

Lima beans & ham with cornbread. I always make a BIG batch & put some in freezer for later. When I cook, I always cook big portions so will have something to fall back on when I don't feel like cooking.

ok finished the soup tonite. Tomorrow we will have what I call "splatty Pattys" I have a tortilla press and I press balls about the size of a golf ball of hamburger meat in this press. It helps save on hamburger meat especially at the price these days of meat. I serve these on toasted hamburger buns with toppings of their choice, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, onions and or pickles, baked onion rings and a salad.

Are the Lima beans and ham separate dishes each or is it like a soup type dish? I love both but was just wondering.

Today-1-7-015 I made ham and beans soup. I read from a post above and it sounded so good. I had a ham bone in the freezer from Christmas so thought being so cold today, this would be perfect. I also made some corn bread for my chickens and put some green beans in it too for protein. I gave it to them earlier and they just scuffed it right up. Gotta keep them girls happy or no eggs for us. Stay warm folks, its brutal out there.
