Podunk, that is so gorgeous. All of your fabrics are just beautiful.
Cathy, your quilt has so much personality. It turned out great!
I did all my cutting for clues #6 and #7 today, so I should be able to get them sewn, pressed and trimmed tomorrow.

I concluded that the 3-D dagger effect relies on an indistinct block center. When a darker color surrounds the inner square, it defines the center and becomes the focus. A blended effect there helps pop the daggers. I wonder how it would look if your QST colors were reversed, with the star points being in your 'lavender' solid and the lighter color surrounding the center.
Not sure when I'll get the sewing done, cos we've company coming this weekend. However, normal routine resumes on Monday........

my quilt is only to the floppy stage - it may be a long time before it's quilting. I love the look of those subbing out the QST for Tri-Recs - I already had my pieces cut out before getting a good look at that change and didn't have any fabric left to change (because I cut them all wrong the first time!).

I finally got my 9 patch quilt together... It's huge, as a throw! I had made half the clues, so only needed to make a dozen or two more of this and that. I decided I didn't want the additional neutral 4-patch border, so that left me with 50 of those 4 patches. I hate having leftovers, so I took the last seams out of all of them, bringing them back to 100 twosies. I plan to put a solid color border around my center, and then do a border of these twosies. I have 4 purple 4-patches left to put in the 4 corners. I may add another small solid border beyond the twosies, and then quilt and bind it.
I'm not going to show it until I get the borders on. That will give me incentive to finish NOW and not later.

Advice appreciated ~
Here are a couple of my options - I would love to get input from all of you. I'm not entirely happy with the original "magenta" as it just looks too faded out or pink to me. So what do you think....the green or the magenta and then which yellow would you all recommend? I have decided to go with the alternative design that NZquilter posted a few pages ago (p. 132). Thank you for your help!
