But think of it this way, do you want it lurking there in your UFO pile for yrs & yrs? One man's junk is another man's treasure, they always say. Go ahead and finish it and give it away w/all the love you can give. Someone will LOVE it, I promise.

My vote is with the others who say the quilt will appeal strongly to others and who suggest you either finish it or give it to someone to finish.
My best friend, a young woman, died of pancreatic cancer and left her sewing room to me. Wonderful to have "her" around me. In her sewing room are a few UFOs and the yardage for a baby quilt for her brand new grandson. I am going to send some things and a UFO to one of her other quilting friends and our quilting guild has asked to make the baby quilt for her grandson. My point is that there is so much more to a quilt than simply how it looks.

This quilt top is FAR from ugly to me! I know for sure that Karing Kountry Quilters, my daughters non-profit organization, would LOVE to have this top if you are considering not finishing it.

My best friend, her mom and I are working on doing some charity work for children. We are making quilts as well as putting Christmas stockings together for St. Christophers' Hopital and will ...be driving to Pennsylvania in December to distribute them to all the children and visit with them. We hope to make this a great Christmas for these children. Any donations would be appreciated. We need fabric, any items for stocking stuffers, stockings themselves, books, word puzzles, cars, kids movies, etc. Cash donations are appreciated too. We will be keeping a ledger of all donations as well as expenses and will be able to provide you with a contribution receipt for tax purposes. Please help us to bless these children. Ugly - where is ugly? It is a lovely quilt - if you don't want to finish it, give it to someone else to finish, I'm sure you will lots of volunteers who would take it off your hands - did I mention that I would. It really is a very nice quilt.

Not ugly at all! Little ones love bright colors and it keeps them entertained as well. If you want to personalize it, applique the child's name on it in a happy whimsical manner. Please do share the quilt - it will brighten someone's day!
