I know some won't agree but please reconsider

I love all this talk about our security. I only use my credit at a couple places, and some on the internet. The other day I was called by the bank to verify that I had bought 2 tickets to Argentina on Brazilian Airlines, for $5,573. She said they likely stole my # somehow. Now I have a new credit card and am still waiting for that charged to get taken off the bill. So when Secret Santa is over I will return from the North Pole.
Good example of why people ought to be glad the CC company calls!

Neesie, my son lives in Central Texas--in San Angelo----and HATES that stereotype! He is from Atlanta and does not talk with a southern accent at all...but most people assume that he would. He more fits the Southern California stereotype of always being outdoors and being into running and his health! Aren't stereotypes funny?

Hello, Taffy! We really are a friendly group, but it is a massive sized group also. Like someone else said , post a thread that catches people's attention or a picture and you'll get great feedback

Yes, mine does, but I still have the $5,573 charge posted on my bill, because it takes a month or two to get it off. In the meantime, it looks like I'm a slackard because I am not paying my bill for the tickets to Argentina. They called me within minutes of the transaction, but it is still on my bill.

Hi Taffy! We can't post a "hi" to you if we don't know you exist. You have only posted 8 comments, so sadly you got lost in the shuffle. You have to pipe up, or you will just slip past us. We are a very gregarious bunch, and hopefully you will take about half of what we say seriously.

As a result of posting at least our state, we have formed a group of QB members here in the upstate of South Carolina. So far there are six (6) of us in the group. We've gotten together for lunch a couple of times, and met at my house one time, then Some of us are going to Mary Jo's Friday together. It's been real neat to get together. One girl has been willing to drive two hours to meet with us. So thank you for putting SC or upstate SC on your profile. Margie

This is a great idea. I spend the summers in Tennessee aqnd would love to know people who would like to get together with people who live in the area. I do belong to a guild but they only meet every month so it is hard to get to know people. Since I am only there part time and it is sometimes difficult for me to get out because I have Parkinson disease, I would like to find people who could come over and sew for the day. I have friends in my FL neighborhood who get together about every 2 weeks and sew for the day. Thgroup changes as some can't come but we have a good time.

Remember when you were the "shy" kid in class and never raised your hand? Then your mom and dad got your report card and it said, "does not participate in class activities"? And your parents wanted to know why? Well, I was one of those kids. Then I grew up and got married, and moved to a new city, a very large city Detroit. I lived in an apartment and when my DH was at work, I cried because I didn't know anyone. Then one day I saw a lady across the way have a new sewing machine delivered. So I bucked up and went across the way and knocked on her door. She was so pleased to know there was someone else who sewed in the apartment complex. We actually became slight friends, even though she was much older than me. I decided then that shy didn't work in this world. So after that I forced myself to become friends with strangers. Here we are on the QB and I have made friends from all over the world. My DD thinks I "have no life". She has no clue. If I have a question about something, I can ask my friends here, and always get an answer, usually the right answer. So, we are not mind readers....speak up and you will be spoken to. Probably more than you wanted.

The last time I googled my handle a couple of years ago,I was a busy poster: I was male and lived in Germany. Now I see that I am a female and living in Germany.
Good trick, that!
