Grand Illusion - Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt 2014
#1421
After getting way behind (didn't even start until this past weekend), I am now all caught up on Bonnie's mystery. Thank goodness for some easy clues (esp. #5), and a link to a blog for strip piecing clue number 2.

wonder what color an inner border might be.....if there is an inner border.....
being that close to Clue 3 blocks ... probably not neutral, green, or even black ... if there is a inner border..anyone reading this...these are 'best guess'....from the clues so far
do not sew anything by these guesses !
sure is fun sharing guesses

I think the inner border might be yellow. Since most of us are using a constant yellow, it would be a good way to tie everything together and make for a pretty simple clue. And if I'm right about the 3" cornerstones, I'll guess that they're either black/neutral or blue/neutral.

Kris: I am amazed you caught up in such a short amount of time. Didn't keep track of my time spent but am sure that I couldn't catch up in just a couple of days.
Samper & Wholeheart: Would like to try to, answer but only Bonnie knows, and as we all know, she ain't telling.
SewNSew: Welcome! Your in time for the reveal.

Kris- you're a machine for catching up so fast. I'm impressed.
Colorful on- gorgeous blocks. Very very pretty colors.
I've finished week three. I made 50 units. Approx half. Lol. I had to rip a bunch of them because I had the black squares in the wrong spot. I could have gotten further along with the mq but at least I found my error before I put the whole quilt together.
Looking at my greens I think a lot of them are too deep and not grassy enough. Oh well- I am going to keep grassier for any other greens. Not going to change them now.
Once eveything is done If the whole quilt makes those deeper greens look bad I may have to change out this weeks blocks for more grassy ones. Not that I want to redo it but if I have to I would.
