The fws pony club update photo - discussion - completed page: Continued

Is there any one else interested in doing Laura Aaron Hird's fourth book: The Bible? I am going to try it, even if it is a solo flight. Has anyone started a group for that quilt? It is 6 inch finished blocks and looks very similar to what we have done on three trails (or less) together. I did not want too until I seen the book and it is doable, I think.
I will love watching your progress on the Bible quilt, QNS. Hope someone else wants to join you.

I bought the new LH book, mostly because I just wanted to read it and see what blocks she chose. It's sort of a back burner type idea for me, or just a book to use for single blocks in other applications. I still have the FWS blocks to put together, and lots of PC blocks I can make, which if I get around to either of those, then I'll post them here, because the FWS threads we were using before don't seem to be available anymore.
QNS, if I get the energy up for it, I might coast along and do some blocks if I see some pictures to inspire me. :-)

I still have to put my FWS blocks together, too. We can keep each other company. Hoping I will get it together next year!

I have the book but I have to finish this sampler that I am working on right now & then my PC quilt. I do love the blocks that Laurie has in the Bible book. Isn't she a genius to add Hourglass blocks in between to make 'em look like they are set on point?

Yes I like that technique too... I made Bonnie Hunter's Chunky Churndash pattern and it also used the hourglass alternate blocks to make the churndashes appear to be on point. Great idea.

Like my energy has got up and went...somewhere unknown. Have to finish the Stack and Whack on vertical board and bind two other quilts almost done. I get up with good intentions and lose them somehow in the mornings. Gotta take that first step which seems to be as hard as taking a step to the moon. Ran off the first ten patterns of the Bible as templates and paper piecing... so one baby step done. So there will be time ahead to join me. Will post when I get some done.

It looks like we will be using this thread to finish up old FWs or start new ones. And how fun is that... all different FW projects going on at once! Can't wait to see the pictures. I will get back to my Pony blocks as soon as I can.

Last night at midnight my dh woke me up to take him to the emergency room and I dressed and took him in at 1:30 and released at 5 am. We had to go back to get another prescription filled for him. Now I finally have the groceries put away and can relax a few minutes. He had been told to hit the panic button if blood appeared in his c.bag but they found nothing to worry about. Driving when you have not driven for four long years and in the dark was a challenge I had to met with a wing and a prayer going and coming. Whew! And I thought (!) I would be quilting this morning. One step at a time, one stitch at a time. Days seldom go as planned, at least for us. Thank God I can see again to help out dh!

Sorry about that scare, QNS. Yes, I was thinking thank God you can drive again. I don't like driving in the dark anymore, and avoid it like the plague. A lot of it is the high deer population here. You can't see them coming as well in the dark!
Hope your hubby is feeling better soon.

OH Sue!!!! HUGGS & & Prayers! I am glad that there was nothing to worry about. I am also so glad that ya can drive again. I am sure it was hard in the dark though. I couldn't drive in the dark from the time I got my drivers license till I had #2DSon. I was 32 at that time. Ever since his birth I can see at night just fine. Now isn't that weird?
