January Mini Quilt Swap
#161
Creative bargello heart. How big/ small is it. Size of the pieces. Lovely fabrics work so nice together. Dragonfly nana, you like little bits of fabric too? I see cross hatching in the background. Is there any quilting in the heart?

Thank you ube. The heart measures 12" tall by 12.5" wide since cogito and like to use them as wall hanging we made ours on the larger side. The strips are 3/4" and 1" finished.
I don't usually work with such small pieces in patchwork (old eyes here) but the strip sets and not having to match the seams made it easier than I thought it would be.
Yes, I crosshatched the background but did not think the heart needed any on this small of a quilt.

Tomorrow is the mailing deadline. Please let me know, IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY...that you have sent and if you've received.
I am thinking that after the February swap that the Mini swap will take a break. It seems we have only a tiny group that is interested in swapping & I'd like to use the hostessing time I spend, maybe joining in on others swaps. I will try at a later date to see if there's interest. If so, we'll pick it up again. I'm just feeling that maybe folks are burnt out on minis right now.
Sign ups for the February mini are open through the 1st if you'd like to join us

Thanks for all of your time and ideas for these many months that you've hosted the mini swap, Teresa. I love making minis and have had such fun with everyone who has participated. I also have loved what my partners have created for me. With a break or re-invention down the road, the mini/similar swap may garner more interest again.

It has been a lot of fun learning to work tiny through the inspiration of the mini swap. The creations I received through the months are wonderful memories of the process of creating and sharing. Thank you tlambing for your your gracious hosting. I truely enjoyed this swap and will be in again at its future revival.
