Things got a bit hectic towards the end of the boom and I sent my package off without any notes or hostess gift. I want to thank everyone for the beautiful blocks you made for me. I showed my 95 year old mother the blocks and she was a bit overwhelmed with her amazing blocks. She told me you better finish the quilt fast, I’m not buying any green bananas anymore.
I was was a bit rushed this boom, apologies the blocks weren’t as unique or good as I had hoped. I signed up for the summer block swap too. I thought this would be an easy way to see if I could do two booms. Then life happened, I picked up more work unexpectedly and MIL died, peacefully in her sleep, a bit unexpectedly. Much of out time back east was spent helping family. I was just glad my mom was ok when we visited her.
Im going to have to sit out the next boom and just finish all these quilts. I used some of the Hawaiian blocks in the quilt below. I did some interesting FMQ on your squares. Other Hawaiian blocks are going in a mantle scarf and two are going in the summer quilt. With the rest of the Day of the Dead squares, That leaves me five swap projects to finish, so thats what I’ll be doing the rest of the year. I’ll be lurking and watching the beautiful squares appear!
Many thanks for the encouragement and friendships this boom.

MJP, beautiful quilt! I like the rickrack treatment too. I see my block. We will miss you next Boom, but we do understand that sometimes life just flat out intrudes. Gotta' do what ya' gotta' do! Look forward to you finishing all of that up and joining us again. Once Boom family, always Boom family!

MJP, love your quilt and the Ric rack. I will miss you next boom. Sorry about your MIL. Totally understand
how life just gets to busy. Booming isn’t a lot of fun when you are feeling pressured.
Mariposa Happy Birthday
