If the nail polish remover doesn't work (please test in an inside seam first), you might try lighter fluid. It removes a lot of stains. The dry cleaners use it a lot to remove stains and then clean the garments.

I use the Duggar Family's laundry detergent receipe and it removed black sharpie from my white blouse (cotton/spandex like yours).

Hydrogen peroxide, full strength will take out alot of stains--blood, spaghetti sauce, ketsup, mustard-- out of any fabric. No, it does not bleach out the color. Can be used on jeans without worry. Do this before you wash.
Also, try Dawn hand dish washing soap. apply full strength to area rub gently into the stain. allow to dry some, then wash.?good luck.:)

Hair spray. It will spread when you spray it, but don't worry, put it in the wash. Check it after it is washed, if some remain, do it again until gone. Don't dry until the stain is out. An ink pen broke in a new shirt of my DH once and it took several washing, but came out. I put pens in my pocket all the time and the marks come out and my uniform tops are still good for work. Many of them have been washed and dryed several times before I get to them. Good luck, it really works.
