I bet the negative reaction was because it is asymetrical - most people expect quilts to be symetrical. Personally I have been more and more inspired by things that are a little off center - it's an acquired taste and I love yours. I know how much work goes into such a quilt and appreciate it for its inventiveness. keep going!!

I have worked hard on quilts that I thought were beautiful and have them snubbed by non quilters. Even my oldest snubbed a quilt that I was making for him and my youngest snatched it up. It was an orange batik. My youngest got a kick out of picking the backing fabric - purple minkee! FYI - both my sons are in their 20's. One hated it, the other one loved it.
