The fabric depts in my area (3 stores) are just downsizing the dept. They are keeping the notions and reducing the fabric to basic colors and a few prints. Whatever fabric will fit in one aisle. I don't know about the batting, felt and speciality fabrics. BTW they had the blue sheer with snowflakes that would work with Frozen dress patterns for 5.97 if anyone is looking for it. Not sure if it is an actuall Frozen fabric or not but it sure looked like it. They also had some cotton Frozen fabric. I was under the impression that Frozen fabric wasn't being released until September.

Some of us were just discussing the other day that JF has trained their customers to always use a coupon and/or wait for a sale... so are now pricing accordingly. It always pays to shop around.

I love to order from WalMart and get it delivered to my home. You only have to spend $50 for free delivery. I get my doggie pee pads delivered 2 cases at a time and my Pur water filters. Even with postage, it's more economical than it is to drive the 25 miles & back and you don't have to contend with the crowd.

My rotating mat separated as well, I pressed it back together and it works fine now.

I was at a HUGE WalMart Supercenter about 25 miles from here - it is close to an Army base - and they have never ever had a fabric department. Imagine my surprise when I walked into the store and saw that they were just stocking bolts of fabric and a cutting table!!! While I was "looking" another customer saw it and actually started screaming and screeching that they were now going to have fabric> LOL

I keep looking at the rotating mats but they seemed too expensive for my budget so my sweetie bought the round rotating thingy for 1.00 cut and sanded a board he had and attached it. I put an old small square mat I had on top, ta da. Rotating mat, works great, cheap!!!
