However! They weren't teensy little pieces when they started!
I can point to almost any piece in there and tell you how big the piece started before it became part of a quilt and this was that corner that results - - like making a snowball block?
Instead of just sewing the one 1/4 seam, I move over and sew a second seam 1/2 inch apart, cut down the middle and viola! I have teeny tiny, itsy bitsy little HST or 1/4 square triangles!
But, thank you for thinking I am very capable :D

I appreciate your encouraging comments, but, we need more pictures!
Come on, quilters ... what do you do with your scraps?
Of course ... maybe it is a personality quirk and I am the only one afflicted?

You won't believe this, but I've got to show you this picture of what one blogger does with hers and wraps them around toilet paper rolls. Here's the pic:

I forgot to mention that she now has the pcd scraps ready to sew in rows to go on the backs of her quilts. At least, they look better neatly wrapped and ready to go. :-) :-)

I have a friend who does the scraps into strips into jelly rolls, too!
She almost knows how many rolls it takes to make a lap robe for our veterans' quilts. We have made a number of strip quilts, either putting the strips diagonally or straight across with her rolls. Right now at the Post, I have some of her strips in a bag, and a drawer full of scraps ready to be cut, sewed, and rolled. With a black sashing between the blocks, it makes for a very distinctive quilt.
Thank you for posting the picture! A picture is worth a thousand words, eh? <g>

Your blocks look great Omak. Not being familiar with American money, can you tell me what size they are?

I have just bought some plastic drawers to start cutting and sorting my scraps after reading the Scrap User's System on Quiltville.com and look forward to seeing some inspiring scrap blocks/quilt photos on your thread.

I just love scraps and have the best fun using them up, all of my quilts are made from stash and I can't bear to throw out even the tiniest pieces as you can use them for Foundation Pieced scrap blocks. Here's a couple of pictures of some scrappy projects :D

See all the little 2" four patches, the little 3/4" free samples started these off....

These was so easy, just draw lines on vilene and hand stitch strips so each is a little 'rib', then bond to stiff interfacing and turned into a little purse
