Rhonda K - i laughed about what you said about the straight stitches. I just used the “bump” in the seam for the first row and then rode that line for the second row of stitching! I’m pretty no frills!

Thank you so much AprilM! Your instructions are spot on..and yes writing up explanations really is time consuming. I thought you used regular quilt cotton, but the HomeDec fabric is certainly more durable and of similar weight as the denim.
I have a LA and before I start a project I often do some sample stitching on the side using narrow scraps of batting and 2 layers of ugly fabric to make sure my tension is okay. I have been thinking of using this "quilt" in my rugs as filler and I know exactly how I will use them! This will give the the rug the amount of weight to lay nicely. Thanks again. Probably won't get to this until after the New Year, but I will try to share my product when finished.

PS - they are open Friday (special Prime Rib or all you can eat catfish) Saturday (all you can eat haddock special) Sunday (shrimp and chicken all you can eat). They also have a menu but hardly anybody uses it! Friday 4-9 pm/Saturday 3-9pm/Sunday 11am-8pm.
