The lead test can detect lead but not how much lead is leached from the item. I bought the new Corelle Everyday plain white plates and liked them better then my vintage ones. The new plates have higher rims. There was/ is a sale on the Corning site 4 plates for $12.

Well I was thinking if the lead test showed positive, it wouldn't really be an issue of determining how much lead was leaching. I wouldn't use anything that popped a positive.
I wasn't really worried about this issue, I've never owned Corelle plates, but it just occurred to me that I need to ask my youngest son what he and his roommate have.
