    And if you use spray basting the minky will not move around as much. I'd never consider using minky with pin basting.

    she just was thinking of using it for binding..which is something that would be tricky, because of the stretchy attributes of it..

    I did a baby blanket with a cotton top, warm and natural batting and minkey backing. I used scraps left over from the top to make the binding so it was all 100% cotton and it worked fine, but I did put strips of tissue paper (the wrapping presants kind) between my quilt backing and the feed dogs while sewing the binding on (I didn't have a walking foot at the time) and nothing stretched or distorted.

    Tissue paper is a good idea. I might have to try that. Thank you all so much for the help.
