It was folded up and in with the furniture. I doubt anyone ever realized it was a sewing machine, I barely caught it from the corner of my eye. It just looks like a 60's end table, not the most attractive era in furniture, to be sure.

Wow, Around here they would want at least $50.00 for it plus it would be broken!

You can buy new items cheaper at a department store than you can buy a broken one at our Goodwill.

I am in shock!!!! You can't buy a screw for the drawer for .79. Did someone not know what they had? If was meant for you to find this because it is apparently going to a very good cause. We never have anything like this. So glad you found this. Now, the children will have another machine to use in their program.

Wow! We have four Goodwill stores in our area but I have never seen a sewing machine in any of them although there are always some really good ones on the Goodwill website. What a great find and how nice that you are donating it to such a great cause.

I am donating this to one of my quilt guilds that teaches kids to quilt each year at a summer camp.

    Billy, it is model 2142.
Okay I think I know what we are working with and the year it was made and pretty much anything you want to know about the company who badged the machine, but I will need the complete number to make sure. It will be like 158.xxxx or 148.xxxx then I can tell you more.

I have almost the complete set of Sears catalogs in PDF on my computer now. So I can tell you how much it cost and post a copy of the page it was on!!

Let me know and we can figure it out for you.
