Misty, Once I decided to make roman shade quilts for my living room. I decided to do a quit as you go type of thing. In a moment of stupidity, I squared them all to finished size and cut off the seam allowances. Wasn't till I was done did I realize what I had done. The quilted blocks are sitting in a box somewhere, cause I just couldn't bring myself to throw them away.

    Misty

Could I get somemore info, EX: How do you hang it on the door? Dose it cover the whole door? Is it hung from the door frame, or just on the door?I'm sorry to be a pain, But it's so cute, and I wanted to know, before I attempt one.

Becky, there are 3 tiny nail at the top of our door frame were we hanged christmas lights in the past. So what I did was make the door quilt and then put three button holes at the top to hang over the nails. And if I can help just ask all the questions you want to. Oh and I made it from about 6 inches bigger than the door and keep it tucked up against the door to cover up any draft coming in the door.

    Misty :)

Okay, I must be missing something here. If this is to keep out drafts, how can you open and close door when company comes. {Or the mailman for gosh sake!} It would be my luck that the door would grab it and rip it off it's little button holes.

i've been reading about them and looked at them, I guess some are to block drafts and others just hang to decorate. My doors are drafty in the cold, I could use one in the livingroom, Maybe a fabric land scape.

Boo,I did make it to keep out drafts, We have been having some bad ice storms and am having one as I type this. So I have been hanging this over the door since I live in an old house on a limited income to help keep the heat bill down and the air out side. As for the mail man he does not come in side just drops off the mail in the mail box out side. And if company comes I just take it down. And put it back up when they leave. And if they stay a few days they will find out what I use it for. Hope our power stays on.
