Yes I think sometimes the batch is bad. I am sure they are made inChina. I have not had a problem with mine so far, but they are so cheap that if you get a bad one now and then it is not a big deal

I didn't have any problems with mine. Now I sent some to a friend and she said they were awful, but come to find out she had both blades there, she didn't realize there were two and they were stuck together.

I haven't had the opportunity to try out the Harbour Freight blades. I just bought the sharpener for the OLFA rotary blades and have been relatively successful with sharpening the old blades. They won't last as long after being sharpened, but they do work again...not sure how many times I can sharpen them, but will let you know when I find out. I did check with the two HF stores that are in our area...over 60 miles away....and they look at me like "deer in headlights".

I have had good success with the blades from Harbor Freight however I have gotten a few bad one. Those I set aside and mark dull and then put them in the cutter when I'm cutting things other than fabric. They work fine for that. I love the price at Harbor Freight.

Someone posted a while back that they had a problem with the blades from Harbor Freight but then they cleaned their cutting mat and it made all the difference in the world.
I know cutting mats can get fuzz stuck in them and that might be part of the problem. Or either cutting in the same spot over and over.
I've been more than pleased with my blades from Harbor Freight. I'm on either my second or third from them.
Try cleaning your cutting mat and see if that makes a difference.
Hugs!
