I made three baby quilts with flannel scrappy tops, polyester batting and light weight fleece backing. Boy are they soft and cuddly. Will do it again!

What a wonderful idea for a baby blanket! And flannel just keeps getting softer and softer. Yours are great!

Love the fabric choices, and flannel makes a nice snuggie.

I made double flannel blankets for all three of my babies. I loved them. This was back in the early 60's Made single flannel receiving blanket by just hemming them. Lately, I saw a young girl (obviously pregnant) and her mother buying loud, bright colored fleece for baby blankets. At any rate, babies will be warm! Have to come to a complete stop when I am out shopping and see a baby even if to watch them sleep.
