Over the years I've made a conscious effort to keep a full range of colors AND values in my stash. Right now I'm lower on some solids than I'd like - orange, yellow, pinks, blue - because I've been working on modern quilts for myself and for the community quilt program in our guild. Need to look into adding to those colors cheaply.

I just had this conversation with one of my daughters. A friend of hers is expecting her first baby in December, & they don't want to know in advance if it's a boy or girl. So my daughter decided to find out what colors & -- you guessed it -- I don't have any grays or yellows. However, I popped into JoAnn's last night, & I now have too many grays!
And I haven't even picked out a pattern yet! The shower is in October. I have to get busy -- soon!
