Since Florida is so narrow, I hope you will be safe as well as everyone else.

Prayers for all of you. We head to NC tomorrow, but thankfully on the western edge, to visit my 92 yr. old mom.

Our house is shuttered and everything that cannot be secured is in the garage. Hope to be sewing until or when we lose electricity. Might end up like pioneers and sew by lantern. LOL. Be safe everyone.

You need to get moving and out of the way. I hope you are already on the move. Stay safe.

please be careful. I was in a hotel 7th floor, during Katrina, so i know how scary they can be.
Please get back to us and let us know how you did, and how your home is.

My prayers go out to all of you who are in harm's way, and I also pray that your property will be spared and that your infrastructure remain intact. I have seen the destruction hurricanes can cause firsthand. Evacuation is the only sensible response. I know that eveyone is focused on personal safety, as they should be, but property damage is also a concern for many. Obviously, lives are the most important thing, but it can be a major tragedy to lose your home. We have property in Florida that we are very concerned about right now. We were supposed to have flown into West Palm Beach early this morning but had to postpone our flight until it is safe to fly, (provided of course that the aftermath has not caused so much devastation that it would be unwise to go down there.) We are holding our breath until the biggest threat is over. My stress level is high and I'm not even there, so I can imagine how nervous everyone is who is in Matthew's path. My heart goes out to you all.

We're in Jacksonville but not in an evacuation zone. Our supplies are all stocked. Nothing to do but wait and sew and shop online for more fabric.

Sending my hopes for everyone in the storm's path to find a safe place to be. Watching The Weather Channel today reminded me of the coverage during Katrina. I hope people do take this seriously.
