Rhonda's 5th Wall Hanging Swap - Nov 1 - Feb 28
#291
I got the prettiest wallhanging today from Everose. It is Hoppy Easter and embellished with little egg buttons and a butterfly. It is adorable and so right for Spring! She also sent me a lovely note that I am sure she made, dishcloth, and a pin cushion with prairie points on it and the cutest pigs on the back. I love it all! I am going to hang it right away and it will remind me that Spring is coming.....one of these days.
Is this pattern one where you leave a corner of one piece un-sewn as you sew the other strips to the center and then finish the first piece last? My old eyes can't tell, I need a close up.
Thanks.

ube, yes that's how the squares are made. I love doing those because I can use lots of scraps.
Have a great weekend all.
skaduzy, so glad you got your package!
I just finished painting the downstairs bathroom, so I feel like I have been a little productive today. Will walk with a friend. Hoping to loose some of this winter weight. Even the cat sat outside for a while today. Spring - are you here?????

I mailed my wall hanging out on 3/6 to Starla. Hope she has received it...
Received my wh from CJR (Caroline) yesterday afternoon. It has hand embroidery around some of it and the flower is made out of flannel. So cute! Thanks, Caroline for a wonderful wall hanging!

I put borders on like this. When you sew on the first border you leave at least an inch of the border unsewn on one end. then add the other three borders leaving that open end for last. then after you sew on the third border you can then sew down that left open border onto the end of the third border. It allows you to stagger the borders that way.

I received a beautiful spring wallhanging from quiltjoey today -- it's really SPRING, with flowers and birds and a cute little duck. So bright and cheery, in yellows and pinks and greens. I love it.
I'll post a photo Tuesday, but I'm already enjoying it. Thank you so much!
