Love looking at all of the scrappies. Nice quilts "sewbizgirl" and especially like your strings quilt. Did you use a foundation of some kind? I am thinking of making a strings quilt and been doing research on different kinds of foundations and I am more confused now than when I started searching. LOL

The dryer sheets were used, not new. I know that others have had good results with the dryer sheets, so the problem was most likely me. Mainly, I'm sure, because I did not baste it at all, thinking it was small enough. I also got frustrated with it and just wanted it done. Ah, well. Lesson learned. I may give it another go sometime. I liked using up all those odd crumbs.
I am still saving dryer sheets. I try to recycle, re-use things when I can. Someone at my guild said they save dryer sheets for cat/small dog beds. So, I'm thinking of some old pillow cases I have that can be stuffed with dryer sheets. But that will take ALOT of dryer sheets!!

Here are some scrap quilts that I have recently completed.

Haven't been here in awhile and saw this posting this morning. This is so similar to the BOMs we did thru our guild in 2016. It was a lot of fun to practice the paper piecing, but then I had 12 blocks that needed to be a bed quilt. I framed w/the black & gold to make a bed size version. Got to practice my McTavishing and various other freehand and ruler work quilting designs on my Tin Lizzie for a finish last year. Completely forgot about posting on this board.

This is the first queen sized quilt I have made. I hope it counts as scrappy.
It is made from old blue jeans, a windowpane I think it's called, back and top. I stitched everything on my sewing machine using a lot of thread!
