Teen, those are lovely!
Queenbarbiej, your units look great together!
There was an intriguing photo today, on Quiltville, with someone arranging their clue 4s in an interesting way. I know this is discouraged because some people don't want the surprise spoiled, but I always enjoy seeing the way people experiment with their units.
I hope to finish cutting clue 3 tomorrow.

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but I can't get these clue 4 units to be rectangular (they are shorter across the top long side than along the bottom) and they are 1/8" too small in length no matter how scant the 1/4"seams I sew are. It's clue 4 that is the problem as they were all the correct shape and size at the end of clue 3. I feel like my neutral fabric is rather thinner than my other fabrics and seems a bit stretchier, so that might be the problem, but I'm not sure how to fix it? I starch all my fabric and press on a wool mat. I do use steam while pressing...maybe I shouldn't?
Should I just leave them for now until I see how they get incorporated into the final quilt (then adjust them somehow), or should I square them to a slightly smaller size now? I do not have enough fabric to re-do them all, so that's not really an option.

I was in the middle of cutting for clue three, so I'll just keep cutting so I have clue four cut too and then start sewing. I've had to pull neutrals and oranges from stash as I didn't have enough small chunks for them, but that was expected.

Not sure if you read week 3 yet but there is no more gold after week 2. So sorry about your mixup. When I was making Frolic I didn't test my block first and made the whole week's clue too small and had to redo it. I feel your pain.

Is the fabric pre-washed? If not, I guess the steam could be an issue. Thinner fabrics do tend to cause more problems, in my experience.
Are the units 1/8 too short measured along the bottom as well as along the top? There was an Allietare rectangular unit (old BH mystery) that I couldn't get to come out square, but I was able to use the units anyway.
