Tammi, I think you are right. I am going to bookmark this site -- We may embark upon a building project. My son is rather handy -- he can do anything he sets his mind to do, and I would love to have a FW Cabinet! I think, to tell you the truth, that he could draw plans himself, but I don't know if he would want to undertake that project!
Yeah, you are right, the kit itself costs less than the fuel would cost you, and an 18 hour drive -- that's a rough drive!

It would have been 18 hours each way, and that's assuming I didn't get turned around a few times. I bet I couldn't do it in less than 4 days and more likely a week for me. So that's a week of hotels and road snacks too. I bet the kit would cost me less.

That price is right in line with what I see FW's listed for at the local antique malls, and about same condition. Nice machine, but waaaay too spendy for me!

Too spendy for me, too. And too far away. Looks really complete - even with the little oil tin, lube & both screwdrivers. Does anyone know what the item is to the left of the Dritz hem gauge is?

Not necessarily a giggle (except listing it as a sowing machine). http://denver.craigslist.org/atq/5293824142.html I think that this one has been listed for a while I think it may have started out higher priced ?$100?? then ?$70? now $50. It looks fairly complete and fairly decent condition. I know the cabinet has been discussed on QB as desirable for this Domestic machine although this has hinges on top rather than lift off.
