Those Chicken Littles are just the bee's knees! I walked out on a weekend quilt retreat in the mid 80's when one of the hired instructors wouldn't help me figure out why I didn't have enough squares after following instructions to the "T." I was in tears and the person giving the retreat saw us leave. Often wondered if there were any repercussions, but didn't really care. The quilt got done and was enjoyed.

I adore your chickens! Congratulations for leaving that instructor. Had I been there, I would have gone with you.
Our daughter has a few chickens and they are treated as family members. The chickens even have their own dog. Both the chickens and the dog seem to like the strange combination. The chickens play a version of tag with the dog. The occasional chicken figures out how to escape from their pen and the dog tattles on them. Dog insists they stay put and stay safe.

I've made many flying geese but don't see how they would've enhance this cute quilt at all.
Mostly I think the instructor should not be criticizing or offending anyone in front of class for
any reason whatsoever.
As a younger quilter I took a class where the instructor - in an increasingly
louder voice - told me my 1/4" seam wasn't a quarter inch even after I got my ruler and showed her.
She still insisted it was wrong. She was terminated after that class by the shop owner. (I didn't know
this until the next class.) The owner said: I can't have her offending my customers. However, the owner
had the grace not to fire her in front of everyone.
