I keep several projects going at the same time, (I have 3 sewing machines) so I don't seem to burn out on the more challenging quilts. I have a farmer's wife I am making on my featherweight, that I have been working on for a year. I have two large star block quilts that I work on when I just want to sew, sew, sew. I have a couple of baby quilts ready to quilt. I find that if I have several things going, I don't get as tired of any one quilt. I know some people will think I am crazy, but it helps me get more done to have several in various stages of completion.

I have completed one Farmer's wife {111 blocks}for my daughter last christmas and now have two Covering America (50 blocks each}at the LA. I love completing all the intricate blocks I also English paper pieced one from McCalls Magazine {Lithia Park}a few years ago for my daughter for Christmas and pieced a nine patch on point from that same magazine for my other daughter. Now I am working on paper piecing a Storm at Sea kit I bought at Connecting Threads. I also want to try a Grandmother's flower garden. I also love making bags, tissue holders. easy table runners, etc. I guess I like it all!!

LOL. Sweeterthanwine, you took the words right out of my mouth! Definitely quick and easy! I can't wait to finish what I am currently working on and try the 1600 jelly roll quilt. The thing is, I don't NEED any quilts! Will just make them and hope that one of my grown children will like some of them enough to want! Also, I LOVE your name! What kind of wine is your favorite?

I just watched the Missouri Star Quilt tutorial on jellyroll quilts. Jenny sewed four strips together, sewed them once on the diagonal, and then cut them in fourths. The result was four really cute squares. By turning them, you can make several different designs. I think I will do this with the jellyroll I have to make my GD a quilt.

I took my name from a song that was really popular when I was in high school (many moon ago). I don't really drink wine but when I do I drink white zenfendel (spelling?).

I like all quilts, but I tend to enjoy quilting more when I am working on things that come together quickly. It is more relaxing.

I'm an instant gratification girl myself! That's why I like to do the Quilts for Kids quilts. I can whip them right out. I also keep a bigger project going - I may or may not work on it for months at a time. I have to be in the right mood. I'm ALWAYS in the mood for the quick quilts!!

I'm new to quilting, but so far I like quick and easy. Because I like quick results, I was reluctant to even start quilting. But when I realized there are many short, easy, and pretty projects, I decided I'd give it a try. So far so good.

I enjoy working on some of the simple traditional patterns, but have done a couple of more complicated ones. Mainly I like seeing how the different fabrics come together.

I've really only made one easy to piece, fast quilt. It happened this summer using Australian prints, so used big pieces, 4.5" X 8", so as not to cut up those gorgeous prints. I really like to PP, so have done many with extremely small pieces, usually triangles. I do make smaller quilted wall hangings, since I belong to a small group within my guild and we have challenges each month. These quilts are usually smaller than a throw and sometimes like postcard size. Usually if I'm making blocks, they aren't all the same fabrics, so the piecing doesn't get boring. I make up a lot of the designs that I do, so must stop and figure out what to do next. I do have several projects going at the same time, so I can shuffle them around and work on what I feel needs to get done first.
