WOW what a beautiful dresden plate Dresdens are one of my most favorite quilt patterns and you have done a magnificent job on yours. Your work is wonderful and the quilting is out of this world.
Thanks for sharing this beauty with us. I have a lot of batiks and just maybe have to make one out of them.
Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for sharing.

I agree the quilt is beautiful. The Dresden Plate quilt is an easy quilt to make. My first was made about 10 years ago and is all scrap - full size (5 inch blades). Then last Christmas started making the mini-Dresden plate quilts - one with 9 plates, another with 28 plates, one with 9 plates, another 12 plates and the current one with 40 plates. I have 10 batik plates sewed together, but not sewed to the background. Think I'm addicted to them. Enjoyed reading your blog entries and my start in quilting is very similiar - wife's grandmother gave me a log cabin quilt and I said I could do that. That was just the beginning. Keep up the good work. Robert, in northern Iowa.

Well Chuck it seems as if all the super, great, goregous words have been spoken. All I can say is DITTO to all of them. This quilt is one of a kind and the quilting is beyond beautiful. Maggie is totally awesome. How long did it take her to do this by hand? My brain just can't wrap around the talent it took for both of you to create this beauty. By the way if you have too many sisters an Aunt might come in handy (can I be that Aunt)? Please let Maggie know how in awe of her talent I am. Goes without saying your talent also. BrendaK
