I personally like the thinner border, but it would depend on the size you want to end up with. Nice either way.

I like the wider border as well. I agree with Leslie333 that it makes the diamonds pop.

my choice would be the wider border... I agree with Nammie7, it would give you more room to quilt in the border and have it show up.
