2015 Fabric Moratorium
#51
I just moved and my stash took up most of the moving truck....I am so into a moratorium this year! My stash is beyond ridiculous.....it will end up being in an estate sale if I don't use it!

I'm in again this year. Wasn't totally successful as I shopped a couple "Going out of Business" sales, but couldn't pass up $3.00 - $5.00 a yard LQS fabric! I find this keeps me mindful to use stash 1st tho. I'm doing Bonnie Hunters "Grand Illusion" Mystery Quilt this year & am using all yardage & from my stash only.

I am in. I have been trying to do this for 2 years. I have been doing OK with it. I have bought very little just because it is pretty fabric for 2 years. My stash is still out of control. One way to use up some extra is to piece your backs. I have found some interesting ways to piece them on Pinterest.

Wow! Looks like everyone is off to a great start. My January goal is to get all my fabric organized, (because I can't use it if I don't know I have it), go thru my quilting books and get rid of some, and take the tree down :-) (don't laugh, one year it was up until valentine's day)

I am in also. My biggest downfall is MSQC. I will try HARD not to shop the daily deals (don't tell Jenny). I know I have a plenty to use but I am so drawn to beautiful fabric and GREAT DEALS!!!!

I would love to join in the fun. I kept a record of what I used, donated, gifted and bought last year. After all was accounted for including a going out of business sale, my sister getting rid of at least 25 bins of fabric (that I was in charge of going through, yikes!) and someone gifting me a bin of homespun plaids, I was only up 7 yards. I have a flea market booth and that's where some fabric went including MOST of my sisters fabric, LOL. It was really hard some of the time, especially when I went to quilt shops and shows, not to buy randomly like I used to.
So, how does this work? How do I find you all again so we can keep up with each other?
