Table topper, couch pillow covers...a throw quilt? Oh, flowers on a wall hanging or quilt...or just the center of the flowers...
I have a bag of 1" yo yo's...and I have decided to put as centers of flowers on a wall hanging...or balloons for a baby quilt.

Group them together like 3, 5 or 7 to make a flower. They look cool if they overlap slightly. You could even appliqué some stems and leaves to them if you wanted to. Put them on a black background.i wouldn't make the blocks to big. If you use a light background fabric, they look really cool if you appliqué the yoyos with black thread....since you asked. love yoyos.

I agree that making a yo yo doll of some variety and then giving it to your granddaughter in honor of your time spent with her......WOW! What a nice keepsake that would be for her to have....

You can make hair 'do dads' (add some cute buttons and glue to clips or headbands) or glue or sew pin backs to them for broach pins. Grouping them in clusters is interesting. You can stitch them to a basket blocks for either flowers or as decoration on the basket itself. I've also double-layered them (small on top of larger one) with a button in the middle ... they're really cute.

Depending on how many there are you could sew them together for a vest, or maybe a top for a lap quilt.

They aren't very Christmasy...but I think they would make a wonderful garland sewn to each other in a long strand. It could be a sewing themed tree.
