Hey all - I just got back from Christmas shopping - all done now!!! It is a warmish (53) sunny day - so I made a list, checked it twice and hit the road. What a relief, now if someone would come wrap it all up for me... sigh...

Thanks! They turned out well. I finished this little dress just now (I am putting off doing the leggings - sewing with stretch intimidates me a little). Sorry about the duplicates... I had trouble getting the pic orientated properly and cant seem to delete the old ones)

That's an adorable dress. Reminds me of making my daughters dresses when she was little. She's now a grandma too so it's been awhile . lol I made my nieces and my nephew and my kids all p.j.'s and robes one year for Christmas. That was maybe 40 yrs ago. I remember how much work that was. You do nice work.

That is a cute outfit and dress! I'd so love to have a little one to sew for, but so far, I've only got granddoggies ...

I finished up the quilting on the Rose Trellis quilt, so another one to add to the pile needing bindings. I'll be heading back out to the LA to put another one on the frame. I think I've three more that I can do an All-Over pattern, so they will go quick. I've got three twin size that will need custom quilting, so I'm leaving them for now.

I set a goal not to start any more tops while I'm working on the BH mystery, and to spend the time quilting. I won't be near caught up, but I'm pretty close to having the group I hauled out back in April done by the end of the year.

Then I can get backings together for the next group and get them out to be quilted. My 2018 goal will be to quilt two floppies for each new one I make.

Okay, here's a You-Tube video tutorial on those ornaments.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXu6ILYwZh4
Thank you Judith, that was pretty much how I did it but I didn't leave the extra space under the buttons.

When my blocks were starting to not line up I took a break and DH and I went to Fleet Farm. That was a mistake, all we needed was lamp oil for our oil lamps and a humidifier filter. Managed to find both in the mass of bodies, and didn't loose the DH. It was loud and people going every which way. We were able to get out fast.
On the down side when he got home from work this afternoon, I found out one of his co-workers passed away this morning from cancer, we knew it was close but it's still a shock. DH is a little out of sorts so may not get as much sewing done as I planned.

Trisher, set your machine to a slight zigzag and the knit will sew much easier. Your doll clothes are adorable.

This is a 12 block pattern free from Quilted Memories LLC. And this is the best block so far. I only had to take it apart 3 times to get it right, but that is all my fault for getting it mixed up in my head. It's called Silent Night. All the blocks are still available. I"ll try to more them in here.
