Heart Quilt
I just finished putting this pink and red hearts quilt top together and had to share it with you all. This is a quilt that is earmarked for a charity auction for children's diabetes.
The little hearts were sent to me from a fellow board member dotcom. (dotty) They were raw edged at first. But, I loved them! I blocked them out and bought some light weight interfacing to sew around them to stablize them , turned them to the outside by cutting a slit in the back interfacing and then appliqued them to the background strips. I think you get the idea from there.
I think it is adorable! It turned out to be aproximantly51"x 60" in size. The setting strips make it look like a party. Don't you think? I still need to quilt it, but, that is next!
Please tell me what you think.

Thank you so much sis and EVERYONE! Like I said before... This is music to my ears. I really want this one to be one that is fought over in the bidding. LOL!! All of the fabrics are first rate and it deserves to have it go for a goodly price.
I really had to fight with myself to use the pink with multi-colored squares fabric. It went and yet it didn't. I auditioned it and then would take it away. It would go flat. So it had to be! I have come to believe that it is the unusual that makes a quilt stand out. A little something that makes someone go, hmm ... interesting. The yellow and purple addition in that print (I think) really makes the quilt sing.
So take a lesson from a matchy matchy person. Add something to make it sing.
Thanks again it is very appreciated everyone,
