2018 UFO Challenge of the Month
#961
Wow, I thought there would have been at least 30 finishes for June, uh that is right, I did not even contribute.
Back from vacation. Working on a couple other projects yet before I get to start my ufos. Bummer, customer quilts came in. Will get them done quickly. I am getting excited to finish up some projects for sure. I even have a binder tapping her foot at me to get some done. Will be on a roll here soon, I hope.
Love the polka dot quilt.
There are some fabulous finishes. This is just a quick pop in.

Three out of the four boxes arrived today, but...no table! The FedEx guy said tomorrow. Bummer!

JJBlaine: What a neat quilt. It is chocked full of memories.
Teen: Very pretty and congratulations on your completion.
Krisb: Almost there! I can’t wait to see your pictures. (Are you no longer in MN for the summer?)

A finish! Wahoo to me!!!! This UFO is Bonnie Hunter’s 2016 Mystery called En Provence. It was the first one I ever attempted to do and I made all of the units knowing that I would make 2 quilt tops to meet my church group’s quilt top size recommendations. (I got smarter with the 2017 On Ringo Lake and only made 1/3 of the units and used them as a medallion center for a larger quilt.)
The first quilt top is 71” by 79” and was made according to the directions. I added a border to get the correct size. It was donated to the group this past week and has already been completed. They sandwich, tie, and turn the back to the front to bind.
The second quilt top is 71” by 77.5” and I used the remaining 7 blocks with the 4 yellow squares in it but I made a different pattern because my goal was to use up as many of the original units as possible and I didn’t have enough for the secondary stars. I did it. Only 3 units that were 3.5” were left.

JJBlaine, great finish, very neat idea on your jean souvenir quilt. It really looks nice.
Teen, very pretty summer floral top. Looking forward to seeing it done.
RT09, great job on finishing the 2 EnProvence tops. I really like how you arrange the small 3.5” blocks to have a moving motion to the top. And great job on using up most of your block pieces.
I will I’ll post up dates after I get clarification on a couple of items. It could be a few days.

How clever, JJBlaine!
Teen..such fresh colors.
I found the 18" strip of fabric to finish the binding on a UFO...yeah so now I can handstitch it down when I have a minute. Yesterday brought home a lovely Hoffman winter fabric (black with silver) to border another project so may have these two done by EOM. Family first for in a few short hours the kids start arriving for a week's worth of fun and laughter...um that's 4 kids + spouses and 13 grands. Can't wait!

Congrats on finishing En Provence—and two quilts out of one pattern! Mine now will definitely be finished before the new set up is complete.

Thanks for the compliments.
oksewglad: Enjoy your family.
Krisb: I totally understand why you sold your place in MN. I tried to keep up a spot with my camper on it after my husband died 8.5 years ago and, after 2 years, said enough of that and it was only 1/2 hour away.
Sync: Did you do her On Ringo Lake this year?
