Introducing "Starshine & Rainbows"!
This is the first time I've posted any of my work -- I hope you like it
I wanted to learn paper-piecing so I found a bunch of "star" patterns (mostly at Quilters Cache) and just kept going. I love the rainbow brightness of the quilt. I'm trying to decide if I should sash them with a dark blue (like nighttime), or black (to make them really pop), or use a variety of the solids I used in the star blocks.
This was going to be a graduation gift for one of my nieces who has rec'd a scholarship to play Div A Soccer in college (she's our "star"), but I love it so much, I may not be able to part with it!

I'd do maybe 6" sections of each color you used in the quilt, sewn together, for the border, but instead of straight cuts, maybe do a diagonal cut for each one -- it would 'highlight' your beautiful stars. Gorgeous!
