Sign up time for the sixth doll quilt swap! Here are the details:
Doll Quilt Swap #6 -- October
The doll quilt swaps have been great fun. We just started in May, but we've grown from 12 swappers to 40+! There are some links below if you want to see the beauties that have been created.

DOLL QUILT SWAP GUIDELINES
SIZE: from 12”x12” to 24”x24”…any size or shape in between.
MATERIALS: natural fibers/cotton, wool, linen
EMBELLISHMENTS: if you want to use them, feel free…beads, rickrack, buttons, doilies, ribbon, lace…anything or nothing at all.
CONSTRUCTION: Pieced, appliquéd, wholecloth, or yo-yos; quilted by hand or machine; and bound.
LABEL: It is recommended that you attach a label to the back of your quilt. I know, this can be a bit scary for some people though, so it will not be a requirement. A label is however a very nice addition to any handmade quilt. Whether or not you decide to label your quilt, please do include a note with your quilt with your quilting board name, real name and contact information (snail mail address and/or email address, etc. so that they can thank you). And I probably don't have to say this, but when you receive something, please thank the sender.
PARTNERS: You will be paired with a partner for this swap. You will make a quilt for your partner and your partner makes one for you. Feel free to discuss color considerations, likes and dislikes, etc. between yourselves. You will also be responsible for securing delivery addresses.
DUE DATE: The deadline for all quilts to be sent is October 31, 2009.
COMMUNICATION: If for any reason you cannot meet the deadline or you need to drop out of this swap, please let me know as soon as you know. If you communicate any setbacks with me I can make sure things work out favorably for your partner, no hard feelings. :)
SIGN UP: Sign up begins today and ends September 30, 2009. I’ll assign partners after that date.
If you would like to sign up, send me a PM or reply to this thread. Please let me know if you are willing to send internationally as we have several members outside of the US.

Ideas for future doll quilt swaps. I'm thinking of a November/December combined swap since this is usually a busy time for everyone. Here are a few ideas I've had. Feel free to vote on your preference.
1. November/December Doll Quilt Swap: Secret Santa rules. You won't know your partner, but in addition to your doll quilt you'll include a gift for the holiday season. It can be handmade or purchased. Approximate value is $20USD.
2. November/December Doll Quilt Swap: Secret Santa rules again, but you make or purchase an ornament for your partner's tree. For those that don't celebrate Christmas, it could be a pretty, small quilted ornament for decoration.
3. November/December Doll Quilt Swap: "Hey Chele, don't fix it if it ain't broke." Leave it as a monthly swap and none of this secret stuff." Then it would be a November AND December swap. Sames rules as usual.
4. Switch it up a bit. No mutual partners. It will all be a great secret. Everyone will send their address to me and I'll send everyone their partner info.
Votes are appreciated! I could never do this without all of you! :D I hope you all don't mind that I plan on stealing all your past designs! They've all been so great! Now if I can just pull them off half as well as you did...

I'm in for October as long as my partner is ok with my quilt being mailed out as late as around the 25th or so  I will be gone until the 10th.
I am ok with any of the choices...

I'm in for October - in fact I'm working on it right now! And, thanks for thinking ahead on the holiday season. I opt for option #1.
Last, but not least, I'm willing to ship international.
