Storm at Sea batiks
Thanks to all for input on keeping this quilt from bleeding. I did a test “rub” with a damp white towel, and all seemed good. I used a few color catchers with first wash, and I think all is well! Whew!
No pattern, traditionally pieced. Second quilt from batiks that I brought back from Maui a few years ago. I need to return to replenish my stash now! Go away, Covid! I had to make binding scrappy because I didn’t have enough of any fabrics for the entire binding.
My first time glue basting-used Elmers Washable and applied with carpenters paint roller bottle. Super easy, but I think I applied glue heavier than I needed to.
This quilt is for one of my DILs. She is an ER physician and lives several states away, so this will have to replace my hugs for now.
