    Default Easy Breezy

I started these Easy Breezy blocks during Bonnie Hunter’s 2020 leader-ender challenge. No quilt planned, just some easy, mindless block sewing in between making units and blocks for my Covid - Unity quilt. Then I posted some of those Easy Breezy blocks on my Instagram and my sister decided she needed another quilt. 110 blocks later, and after finding the perfect fabric for sashing I put it all together. It’s 78 X 84 and I used a teal snowflake fabric for the binding. It was finished right before Christmas but my sister wanted me to hold onto it until after the holidays. She was afraid someone might snatch the box from her porch. Now that all the holiday craziness is done I’m ready to ship it off to her.

The blocks are great, but the musical background, backing, and binding totally make this quilt for me. I'm always astonished by how some of the less "showy" parts of a quilt actually make it work. :-) I'd be delighted to have this quilt and I'm sure your sister will be thrilled!

Love it! Perfect colors and agree the note sashing pulls it all together. Great job.

What a cheerful scrappy quilt…I recognize some of the fabric in your Easy Breezy quilt. You did a marvelous job with your FMQ loop de loops. She is going to love it!
