Worth the wait !

Twelve long years ago I decided to take up quilting. My son wanted a Marvin the Martian quilt so he started drawing pictures for me. I think it took me a year to applique the Marvins. I only worked on them about an hour in the A.M. after everyone went to work or school. After many, many starts and stops I was determined to finish for the 2009 Michigan State Fair (which was the last due to lack of funding). I was totally supprised to get a blue ribbon. Finally Daniel has his quilt and I have the blue ribbon.
