I have a brother XS 9000 bought last January.
Was finishing the binding on my Christmas gifts last night and it made a horrible noise and stopped.

It it stuck-----nothing will move. I have an E6 error code which is jam due to thread, but I have taken it apart and cleaned everything out (no thread or dust bunnies) removed the bobbin and assembly, needle and it's still stuck. I cannot get anything to move.

    Can anybody offer any suggestions?

With most electronics, after "fixing", you have to unplug them for a few minutes. When you plug it in and restart it pray that it works!!

OMG, I sure hope that does it. What does your manual say about that error?

My thought also. Can't hurt, might help (like Maxine said about lemons in your bra). Good luck, hope it's something simple.

I ran into a similar problem with my new Pfaff. After cleaning the bobbin case and removing the pressure plate more than once, turning the thing off a few times, unplugging it, it still gave me the error message and would not operate. Then I discovered a little button with a check mark on it and pushed that. It's an "okay" button that reset the machine and I'm off and running again.

Did unplugging it fix the problem? Hope all is well with your machine!

Nothing has worked so far. It is unplugged and sitting beside my table. Out came my old White standby.

I guess I'll get it to the repair shop Monday.,

    Thanks all
