I started going through some of the boxes from my grandmother. She did some paper piecing, but the fabric dates to (at earliest) 1969.

Since it's been inside a house since then, would I be able to sew them in a quilt? I'm worried that the fabric will shatter, but then again it IS polyester....

You have some treasures there. I'd certainly make them into a quilt, if only to preserve the memories. The fabric should be fine, don't worry about "shattering".

How fun!!! :) Gosh, it almost seems a shame to lose those wonderful newspaper pieces, doesn't it?

But, what a great quilt that might make! :)

I'm very tempted to frame some of the backs.

What an awesome find!! The sales ad is neat. Susan would notice the ice cream.
