    I hope this is the right place to post this. I ran into this super easy and super fast cutting technique for a square in a square.

    yes, thanks for the refresher, I'll going to use this on my next kids quilt, all those leftovers from "planned" quilts. :)

    I am doing the technique and cutting the squares like they show. It is super easy! I am making multiple baby quilts so this is perfect.

    I flipped the cutting mat and drew permanent lines on that. This way I do not get distracted by the lines on the cutting board.

    I did this the day I saw the show. Need to freshen up my lines though. I also drew lines in a different color for starting with 6 inch blocks which are nice for baby quilts. I also stabilize my stack with post it notes on opposite corners. This is the back of one of my blue mats which I don't use as often.

    Hope you can see the lines.
