Yes and the Confederation Trail runs very close to it, so if someone you love wants to do a bike trip while you're shopping it works out great. We found a free FQ coupon for this shop in one of the travel brochures.
There's a Singer Shop on Prince Street in North Sydney that is jammed packed with fabric. There was also a little shop there called Quilting on the Myra. There's the Harbour Quilt Company in Antigonish. I remember one called The Covered Bridge in N.B. but can't remember which town it was in.
Here is a link to our Canadian Quilter's Association site & any shop who pays to be a member is listed on it, of course there are other shops out there as well.

Here's another link, but not sure how current it is, so you would need to find a website for the shop or at least confirm them in the phone listings to make sure they're still open.

Quilting B and More is located in Charlottetown, PEI, the capital city. It is located on Prince St. They are very friendly. There is also a fabric store on North River Road in Charlottetown. They cater to quilters.

This reminds me of "the one that got away". I had an Acadien boyfriend in 97-98, and his mother was a quilter. I loved her and she seemed to like me. My MIL is a lovely, hardworking, woman of faith, but we have an ocean between us, no common language, and cultural differences. I often think about what would have been, not with the man, but his mother, who was so kind, and a quilter and nurse, like me! The one fabric shop I had gone to in NB didn't really have quilting fabric at that time.
