    The Official announcement:

All Georgians, even if you're just here for the day, are invited to the first ever QB get together. At least, it's the first I've ever organized

Here's the scoop. It's at Intown Quilters 1058 Mistletoe Road Decatur, Georgia 30033 404-634-6924 Please use only google maps or call us for directions! http://www.intownquilters.com/

They open at 1 PM on Sun, so that will be the time. They close at 6 PM so we need to leave then!! I was thinking a sit N sew, get together kind of thing, but if one of you wants to teach us a technique or has another plan, please let me know, I'm good with it. Please PM me for confirmations as well as adding to this thread so I can get a feel for how big this is going to be.

Our food options are none (silly me, we're quilters :!: ), snacks brought by us, pizza brought in, other food brought in, pot luck brought in by us..or some other option I've not thought of. We will be responsible for all food costs and cleanup.

I'm really, really excited to meet as many of you as can make it so please try, I see a million Georgia's in where do you live so I'm counting on you to come

I hope you have a great turn out and have members coming from all over. Meet and Greets are so much fun!

I have also sent you a private message (pm)

Count me in! I'm all for the potluck idea, but the others are fine with me too. If anybody comes that can help, I need a quick tutorial on picking a good fabric for One Block Wonder. Looking forward to it, but please remind me sometime shortly before! :)

If we are still talking May 29, count me in. I'm fine with all the food ideas (except having none!) Can't wait to meet everyone.

Count me in...as long as life doesn't get in the way! Thank you Sarah for letting us meet...maybe...just maybe...Claire will be in town. I miss her so much...she was my one and only teacher.

    Thanks for organizing this!

    Ok latest ideas:
I would volunteer to bring my battered, but lovable FW and some of the accessories if y'all who don't own one have never seen, felt, played with one and are interested.

Teacherbailey and I are interested in OBW, anyone else?

How about Potluck for lunch and then snacks for mid afternoon. Teacherbailey and I were able to meet for brunch today and had a wonderful time. She has said she'll bring brownies and I'll do a main dish pasta salad and probably a sweet for midafternoon, anyone else??

OBW would be great! How about a quick demo on the twister? Info on HOW to master a bargello?

I'll need to wait till closer to commit for snack and can fill in with whatever may be missing.
