I just received an e-mail from Hoffman fabrics, saying that they are going to debut a 3-D fabric at Market next weekend.

Here is a picture, plus their advertising text:

"Wear a pair of special 3-D glasses and this dynamic screenprint group will indeed be Coming At You! Imagine the fun and creativity your favorite little ones will enjoy seeing butterflies (#J8611), space ships (#J8610) and underwater sealife (J8612) so close it's like they can reach out and touch them.

In addition to a free pattern for a 59" X 72" quilt project, we'll be offering a free pattern for a youngster-friendly quillow (a twin-size quilt that folds into a pillow!) from our website."

I wonder what this will look like if you're not wearing 3D glasses??

All I see is green leaves and butterflies nothing else oh and a black background. Is that all I should be seeing?

I see the same thing, which is most likely all you see unless you have the 3-D glasses like Carrie has.

I think it's a neat idea, but then everyone will need the 3-D glasses to really appreciate the fabric and the fun things you could do with it.

The butterflies look like they are fluttering their wings and the colors become a bright and metallic looking. The leaves become brighter and the yellow on the leaves stands out a whole lot more. You all have got to get a pair of cheap 3-D glasses and look at this. I can just imagine what the price is gonna be but I would love to have some.

Without the glasses, the fabric is really nice!

Will be interesting what the pattern will be that they have to go with it.

I tried the link as I was curious how one makes them ... didn't work!
