This is how I make my hexes. First (in my case) I cut a 3 inch strip of fabric, fold in half to make a 1.5 inch strip.Put a piece of tape on my triangle ruler 1.5 inches from tip. Place triangle on folded strip (folded edge toward me). Cut on both sides of triangle. This gives me a hexie shape. Attach fabric to card stock (punch a hole in cars stock). Fold fabric over edges of paper, wip stich at corners (no need to remove stiches) Aftersewing remove pin. When hexie are sewn together you may carefully remove paper. I use pointed tweezers , paper can be reused several times.

    Great technique. Thanks
I usually use freezer paper and then iron on the back of the fabric.
I can see this would be a great way to cut the freezer paper.......

This looks like a great way to do your hexies. Everyone has their own way it seems. I cut 2.5 in. squares of fab. pin the paper hex to it, chop off the 4 corners, then baste as you do. I also want to try the freezer paper method at some point in time. Thanks for the tute.
