    I love the French Roses pattern and wanted to make one, but I am not fond of pastels. I decided to make mine with more modern bright fabrics, and to not make it exactly like the pattern. So here it is. I added the pink and orange bands across the center, and I made the inside border differently. My friend Corey Starkey is a long armer in Bakersfield, and she quilted it for me. I am trading some piecing for her for the quilting.

    I love how it came out. I am thinking of entering it in our guild quilt show in January 2012.

    It's absolutely gorgeous. I think you should enter it in your guilds quilt show!! Thank you for sharing with all of us.

    Janice - I love the modern twist you gave it! Definitely should be entered in the guild's quilt show.

    I absolutely love your quilt. Wish I could see it closer, though. I love anything with flowers.
