I am starting to assemble and had a couple questions.

Can muslin be used for the background block?

    All plates must be identical??

Will there be one for winter - I'm already looking at fabrics. lol

    thanks

I believe Robert is already doing his Christmas as well. This has been mentioned not sure if Deb is ready for that one yet. LOL

"Make 12 blocks alike, you will receive one of yours back and 11 different blocks. The petals should be of fall colors, with leaves. Background could be beige, tan, darker yellows, pale golds - no white please. The blocks should speak 'FALL'."

I believe the key word is alike using the pattern that was set.

    Hope that helps.

Yes, Robert said he has already for the winter swap. I won't post that will later later on..... I was going to do two different swaps - one white, blue and silvers for snowflakes, and reds for pointsettias. At this point, I am not sure if I will do two winter sets or just decide on the blue, white and silvers.

i like both ideas for winter but if we're only going to do one the blue one works for all religions and could be used for the entire winter season.

I think I will wait to see how things shape up. It may work out that I will do both. I may toss in a twist with the pointsettia block....still having lots of ideas popping in my head.

My - two sets!!! I am leaning towards that as some may have a specific quilt design in mind (we are just SO organized in our thoughts), like the plate pattern but perhaps not blue or not the red color theme. Patrice thinks I am just nuts.
